Slow down and loop YouTube for guitar practice
Song too fast? Paste a YouTube link, slow it down, loop the hard part and practise it bar by bar. Made by guitarist Lu Jia-Hong for his students – free, nothing to install.
How to use
Start in 4 steps
Guest mode
Your own videos, kept on your own device
- Any YouTube video – lessons, live performances, your favourite songs. (Some uploaders block playback on other sites; if one will not load, try another video.)
- Guest mode stays private – the videos, loop points and speed you set are stored only in this browser. Nothing is uploaded to our server or shared with anyone – unless you choose “🔗 分享” (Share) yourself to make a link.
- Pick up where you left off – reopen the page (after closing the browser, tap “訪客(GUEST)” once more) and your last video, loop and speed are still there. Use “🗃️ 儲存” (Save) to keep a list as a file and open it on another computer.
- Note: clearing your browser data or switching phones starts a fresh list – save a file if you want to keep it.
Buttons
Button guide – the screens are in Chinese
The Practice Room's buttons are labelled in Chinese. Here is what each one means:

Is it free? Do I need an account?
Free, and no account needed. Tap “訪客(GUEST)” and start practising.
Does slowing down change the pitch?
No. The video plays slower at the same pitch, from 0.25× up to 2.0×.
Is my practice uploaded anywhere?
No. In guest mode your videos, loop points and speed stay in your own browser. Only if you tap “🔗 分享” (Share) is a link created for that song.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes – play, slow down and loop work on phones and tablets. A few extras such as “✂️ 裁切” (zoom) are for computers.
Why won't a video load?
Some videos are still processing, or the uploader does not allow playback on other sites. Try another video.
