Chord transposer

Paste a chord sheet or open a photo / PDF, pick a new key, and get a clean, transposed sheet with capo suggestions – free, no sign-up, nothing uploaded.

Paste a sheet or choose a photo / PDF, then pick the new key.

Features

How it works

  • Paste text – chords above lyrics, inline [C] chords and | C Am | F G | bar charts all work. Text sheets are transposed 100% accurately and re-laid out with the chords right above the words.
  • Photos, screenshots, scans and PDFs – the tool finds the chord names and key marks (Key: G, 1=C, Capo 2) and writes the new chords in the same place on the page.
  • Handwritten or blurry sheets – recognition can make mistakes, so every box can be tapped to fix or delete it, and missed chords can be added.
  • Correct spelling – sharps or flats follow the new key (B♭ in F, not A♯). Slash chords, 7, m7, sus, add and dim are all transposed.
  • Capo helper – shows which fret to capo and which shapes to play; ★ marks the easiest option.
  • Numbers – show chords as 1, 4, 5, 6m (Nashville-style) that work in any key.
  • Clean up and reflow – straighten and brighten phone photos, enlarge the music, fit four pages onto two.
  • Practise – play the chords (strum or arpeggio), add a click, loop A–B, and view chord diagrams at any size.
  • Save – download as an image or PDF, or print.

FAQ

FAQ

Is the chord transposer free?

Yes – completely free, no download and no sign-up. Paste a sheet or choose a photo and pick a new key.

Can it transpose a photo of a chord sheet?

Yes. Photos, screenshots, scans and PDFs work. The new chords are written in place; tap any box to correct it.

How do I lower the key?

Press − once per semitone. If G is too high, two semitones down is F – the tool suggests capo 1 with E shapes or capo 3 with D shapes.

Are sharps and flats spelled correctly?

Yes. The spelling follows the new key, and the bass note of slash chords is transposed too.

Is my sheet uploaded?

No. Everything happens on your device.
